E-mail has been emerging ever since it came out, well now with Zumbox, every house in America will be able to have their own e-mail, and by house I really do mean house, just like regular mail. Zumbox is a new e-mail system that creates a residential email system for every home in the U.S. The general idea of Zumbox was for companies to be able to send all their bills, notifications etc, but virtually! Some companies have already began to use this service and are sending it to their customers, even if the customers haven't signed up for an account yet, the mail will be held until the customer signs up. Signing up is free as well, the only catch is commercial mail, Zumbox charges 5 cents per junk mail, and will allow the company to send mail to an entire building or to everyone within a certain radius. The bright side though is that the junk, well, special offers section, get a whole separate category. Overall sounds like a good idea, and its a great way to go green! The private company has over 4 million dollars and will "expand their runway when they need too."

This is a good thing both technologically and enviornmentally. Not only does this "Zumbox" help save paper for mail but it makes receiving and sending mail faster and more easier. You also don't need anything to apply, as long as u live on a street that has a name you have an account.
The only down side to this is that the business has to get used to having a lot of people using it at one time.

This seems like a great idea because I already have e-mail, but it can be very annoying to get somebody elses e-mail address. With Zumbox all you need is a physical address and you can send them as much mail as you want for free.
Zumbox is also very safe. The mail sent to Zumbox can only be seen by you and no one else.

Andrew, I am curious to know what the advantages of the Zumbox are as opposed to regular individual addresses, where I can have my bills and other important documents sent.
The Zumbox's President Glen Ward said that the service is secure and allows the safe sending of financial and personal medial information.

Interesting post. It's strange to think that every daily routine, even picking up the mail, can maybe one day become obsolete to online services like this.
heres a review that offers some facts supporting the new system.

this is pretty impresive, did you know that this is free of charge unless you are sending promotional emails or spam type emails in which there is a fee.
