Worried about gamma sickness or radiation sickness don't be due to the The RadEye PRD you can easily find out how much radiation is around you. The RadEye PRD or The RadEye Personal Radiation Detector is a high performance personal radiation detector.the RadEye is a good advance in hand held devices that can detect Gamma rays and x rays it also has a longer range compared to a regular dosimeter. the RadEye PRD is 5000 - 100000 times more sensitive than a typical electronic dosimeter. The main purpose of the Radeye PRD is to detect harmful substances in and around a certain area .
the RadEye PRD is equipped with a self alarming system witch will notify the operator if the amount of nuclear radiation detected in a certain area can be harmful to humans and or the environment lately the world has been having a problem which is know as the "orphan source"
this what they call it when gamma radiation appears in spots such as scrap yards and depots and other places which would be unlikely to have radiation under some peoples eyes.
This small hand held device can be thought of as maybe a hard device to use due to its long name FALSE. you see the device is actually quite simple to use with only three buttons on the screen to turn on you can simply press on and to view the radiation count in the room or within the vicinity of yourself you hold it and turn it what ever direction you would like to get an accurate and precise reading
I believe that this would is an ideal system and can be used to look out for the welfare and well being of people and the world

I've have heard of great use of this technology, with local law enforcement. At major events at the kensico dam, Mt. Pleasant Police carries this evolving technology with them. The one problem that happens is if you are doing a traffic stop and it picks up radiation of recent chemotherapy doses. After a couple questions with a citizen a police officer can determine why it is going of though.

This technology is really great because before we only had instruments that used 2 detectors which only picked up low and high dose range.
this is also good because it does not go crazy over little everyday things because this device picks up unusual radiation levels.
This device is also going to be more popluar because the price of the older ones are in the $2000 range while this device is less than $500

Wow, this is really cool. Did you know that for the RadEye PRD-ER special proprietary circuitry allows the energy compensated dose and dose rate measurement up to 100 mSv/h (or 10 rem/h).

This is really cool. Im sure this can save hundreds of lives. Did you know that the radeye was built for Scale Operators, Scrap Inspectors and Quality Control Personnel. These are jobs where radiation is found mostly in scrap yards and oil companys.

This was an interesting post. Advancements like this will definitely help protect our health in todays world when there are many different sources of radiation around us.
Another advancement similar to this is how some researchers are developing systems to make cellphones radiation detectors. One of their main goals is to create a link between all cellphones in the United States so that we can easily detect high sources of radiation in hope of preventing terrorist attacks using "dirty bombs" and nuclear weapons.

This is a much better technology as opposed to the giant radiation detectors that we used to have. I'd imagine its pretty pricy though. At least now you won't need to wear a radiation suit for fear of getting hurt, and the suits dont exactly go for cheap.
